Four
Dimensions

Four Dimensions Ensemble, conceived by Chicago Avant-Garde Jazz artist, Michael Staron, is on the search for a dance artist to help build the improvisation performance group. Four Dimensions Ensemble was born last year and is the combination of a live improvisational jazz trio made into a quartet through addition of an improvising dancer. Four Dimensions Ensemble in collaboration with Jamy Meek Dance are looking for a female dancer, accomplished or at least comfortable with improvisational performance, to perform in intimate neighborhood tavern atmospheres. This project is new and gaining momentum and the interest and desire to experience this type of creative work is considered an important quality for our new dancer(s). This is not just a gig but the joining of an ensemble.
Labor of Love
The genesis of the project arose from Mr. Staron's desire to create work simply for the purpose of it existing, a gift made in a way that only artists who are passionate about what they do can release into the world. All compensation for performances will be agreed upon by the ensemble members. Help us build over a million more views this year!

The dancer functions as another instrumentalist in the quartet, sometimes she's a soloist and at other times she functions as an accompanist. To me music is organized vibration, all art is organized vibration, everything that exists is organized vibration. ----- Michael Staron
